Squad your team before you arrive. When you receive your student athlete name labels for the scorecards, you can apply them more efficiently if you have already pre-squadded your team.

Individual and team competition in one
A student athlete's score is used for both events.
All student athletes will compete in one of three assigned classification based on their year-end season average.
Novice: 0-14.99 average
Junior Varsity: 15-18.99 average
Varsity: 19-25 average
All teams will compete in a single classification by using the top five scores from each team no matter what classification a student athlete competes in. No substitutions are allowed. Student athletes are responsible for providing their own ammunition.

Each team needs to supply
their own Range Safety Officer
Safety is everyone's number one priority!
Due to the high number of teams, each team needs to provide their own RSO that is responsible only for their team. It is important that each RSO understands the League's Policies & Procedures to ensure this State Tournament is the safest event possible. Thank you!

Awards
State Tournament and Conference awards presented
Individual awards are presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places by gender in Novice, Junior Varsity and Varsity classifications. An overall high gun award is presented to the student athlete with the highest score.
Tied scores for awards are broken by using a reverse longest run - most amount of consecutive targets hit starting from the end.

Field assignments, squadding and sessions
All athletes will shoot two 50-target sessions
Teams will squad their own team by applying League-supplied labels to scoresheets. In order to expedite the timing of the tournament, some teams with less than a full squad of five shooters may be required to join another short squad to complete a squad.
Athletes will shoot two 50-target sessions. Session 2 begins after the last Session 1 squad is finished and all teams and squads will follow the same schedule as Session 1.
