Final Week of ND Clay Target League

Finally two nice evenings to shoot.  Dylan started the week off joining the 50 straight club and Landon ended the last round of the season with 25 straight.  Emma, Sean, Kayla, Madelyn, Landon, and Marit all posted their best single rounds.

A big thank you to all the shooters, coaches and parent volunteers for a great first season.
We will be holding our team fun shoot on Monday, June 1st at 6:00pm. Please come out to have some fun. We will be playing some fun shooting games like Buddy Shoot and Annie Oakley.  We will also be handing out some awards.

 You need to bring a "buddy" (parent, grand parent, sibling) for the buddy shoot.

Final league standings will be posted this weekend.

Weekly update

Finally, a beautiful evening to shoot - clear, light breeze and 70 degrees.  2 new members of the 25 straight club tonight Bryer and Dylan ran their first round.  Warren Blanchfield shot his 25 straight on Monday with 25-35 mph winds and 40 degrees out.  The Vansteenvoort sisters, Hannah and Makayla,  lead the ladies and posted scores of 42 and 41 followed by Sydney with 37.

Bryer has the high score for the week with a 48 followed by Warren, Dylan, and Hunter with 47's.

Next week is Week 5 - final week of League scores.

Don't forget the fun shoot on June 1st.  Buddy shoot with parents and Annie Oakley are the games of the day.  We will also be announcing team awards.  Please bring at least one parent for the buddy shoot.  We have also invited DL School Administrators and School Board Members to attend.

Wow! What a great turnout of Firebirds shooters (and a few parents) to help unload a semi load of clay targets (1400+ cases). Thanks for the enthusiastic help. We completed unloading in an hour and 15 minutes. 

A BIG thank you to Kyle Blanchfield and Shelby from Bobcat for bringing their Bobcat forklifts to help us out.

Final reminder - notes from the week

Last chance to register for the State Tournament.  Registration and payment due in by 12 noon Friday, May 15th.


Cold, wet and windy again this week.  Despite the conditions, Parker and Josh both posted a round of 24. Parker was clean until the 23nd target. Josh missed his second target and ran the final 23 targets.

Mason shot his league scores and then decided to shoot a practice round ---25 straight -- his first and the squad had fun shooting his hat. Kody is still shooting well  - 49/50 for the week.

Team and School rules, State Tournament, Standings

Please remember that it is a violation of school and team rules to have any ammunition or guns on school property. We assured the school board we would comply with this policy. We had a violation this past week. Make sure that you Do Not have ammunition or guns in your vehicle on school property.

If you plan on shooting in the State Tournament, you must be registered and paid by noon on May 15th. That is this Friday.

Firebirds are on top after week 1!

Firebirds are on top after week 1!
Our shooters had a good week. 6 shooters in the top 10 in the League. Top shooters for the Firebirds this week are:  Kody Durbin, Dylan Durbin, Warren Blanchfield, Spencer Frith, Mason Hanson and Forest Hanson.
